Today at approximately 3:45PM I received an e-mail from the Japanese Embassy in Trinidad which started off with the words that I have waited for months upon months to hear:
"...it is our great pleasure to announce that you have been accepted as a participant for the 2011 JET Programme."
So there you go folks - I'm in! Which means that just shy of four months from now I will be far away from my sunny Caribbean homeland and would have been transplanted to Japanese soil. Can you believe it? Don't worry, neither can I.
